Scarborough Wexford Hi-Profile repeated as Men's Masters Provincial Champions but not before having to get by two very difficult opponents over the weekend.

Hi-Profile began their weekend with a semi-final match against Mississauga AC Diavoli.

Diavoli took Scarborough to their limit. The two finished their match tied at 2-2 forcing penalties. Hi-Profile would down their opponent in convincing fashion there however with a 3-0 win from the spot.

With the win, they earned a spot in the final where they would face the Richmond Hill Masters.

Richmond Hill had a similar difficult route into Sunday's championship. They faced Woodbridge Italia TFCO Legends and found themselves also forced into penalties after a 2-2 draw. Richmond Hill would dispose of their opponents in similar fashion, downing Italia 3-0 in penalties.

Their difficult road to the provincial final would set up a dog fight of a championship.

While Hi-Profile controlled much of the play, Richmond Hill put up a strong front by playing hard nosed defence.

With six yellow cards between the two teams and an ejection each, there was no love lost. Richmond Hill's Player-Coach Mike Massa and Scarborough's Desmond Humphrey each found themselves excused from the contest.

Down a man each, Wexford was the one who rose to the occasion and would bury a pair of goals from Anton Collymore and Gus Kouzamanis.

That would be enough as Camillo Benzi would shut the door the rest of the way for Scarborough and they would capture back-to-back Men's Masters Provincial championships.
