Eight teams were crowned Ontario Cup champions this weekend.
The Ontario Soccer Centre Stadium was host to clubs from across Ontario as the provincial championships for a eight divisions, including the Men's and Women's Finals, concluded on a thrilling weekend in Vaughan.
Among the weekend winners were Gloucester Celtic in the Men's division. Celtic won their second Ontario Cup championship in four years.
As well, Scarborough GS United captured the Women's Ontario Cup title. Scarborough has now won the Women's provincial championship four years in a row.
The Ontario Cup is the largest competition of its kind in Canada. One of the oldest sporting events in the country, the Ontario Cup was first staged in 1901 and each year 12,000 athletes from all across the province compete for their division titles.
