The annual Masters Regional Club Championships for the Provincial Champions in the Masters Divisions (Men Over-35, Women Over-30) will be taking place in the coming days, and Ontario will be well represented in both competitions.

Ontario’s Provincial Champions were decided Aug. 28 and it was a repeat of 2015 with Scarborough Wexford Hi-Profile claiming the Masters Men’s title, and London Marconi Azzurri taking home the Masters Women’s trophy.

Hi-Profile will now look to repeat as Gold Medalists at the Eastern Masters Men’s Championships, while Marconi will be contending for Gold as well, after the experience of finishing fourth last year.

Scarborough Wexford Hi-Profile will make the trip to Trois-Rivieres, Quebec to take on the other Eastern Provincial Champions from Quebec, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.

Hi-Profile’s first match is Sept. 22, when they take on Fundy Soccer (NB) at 2:00 pm EST.

London Marconi Azzurri will travel to Winnipeg, Manitoba, and are grouped with the host Province’s Classics SC, as well as British Columbia’s Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC.

Marconi will open the competition against the host Classics SC at 6:00 pm CST on Sept. 23.
