Ontario soccer continues to change and Wednesday night the OSA membership received another look at what is coming to the province in the near future.

The second in the series of Ontario Soccer Town Halls took place at the BMO Centre in London and District and Club leaders from Elgin Middlesex Soccer Association, Lambton Kent Soccer Association, Southwest Regional Soccer Association and the Essex County Soccer Association were in attendance to hear from our Ontario soccer leaders about a new governance model that will take hold in mid-2017 and will put the good of the province first.

Ontario Soccer Association President Ron Smale, OSA Executive Director Johnny Misley and District Representatives spoke for two hours and took questions on what governance modernization will look like in Ontario, how it will impact the Districts and Clubs and strengthen Ontario soccer going forward.

They also revealed plans for increased operational oversight that will improve communication and make decision making consistent and predictable.

The Town Hall, which was once again livestreamed, took questions from the audience as well as those who tuned in to watch online.

The dates of the 2017 Town Halls will be announced soon.
