The Ontario Soccer Association through its Grassroots Soccer Development department has been working with students at Bishop Macdonell Catholic High School in Guelph.

Twenty-three students in the Health and Physical education program have now completed the Active Start and FUNdamentals coaching courses.

Over the past three months students at the school have been educated through the Active Start and FUNdamentals coaching programs.

These age and stage appropriate course have now given these students the knowledge and confidence to run successful and exciting practices for grassroots soccer players within their communities and clubs.

“This was a great opportunity for the students within Bishop Macdonell Catholic High School. The students did a great job both on and off the field and were able to provide excellent insight into youth soccer through their current experiences as youth soccer players. The students were great to work with and are now equipped to be able to give back to their communities," OSA Grassroots Advisor, Carl Horton, said.

Guelph Soccer Club have partnered with the OSA and Bishop MacDonnell High School in providing technical resources for this exciting program.
