A new era for semi-professional soccer in the province has begun. 

The Toronto Lynx, formerly of the PDL, has joined forces with Oakville Soccer Club - one of the biggest youth clubs in North America - to create the League1 Ontario team, the Oakville Blue Devils FC. 

The Blue Devils FC, along with two other teams, were announced Thursday as the latest teams to join Ontario's only sanctioned semi-professional league. 

You can watch the press conference as the Blue Devils FC are officially launched in Oakville. Oakville also announced their intent to enter a Women's team in League1 Ontario, starting in 2016

As well, stay tuned for more information on a second event, scheduled for next week, where all the new League1 teams will be introduced, as well as the entire Women's Division. National team players will be in attendance, as well as a number of other influential members of the soccer community.
