Staff Being Redeployed Across High Performance Platforms

Full time and contracted Coaching staff are being redeployed across other High Performance programs within the OSA.

These staff positions include, High Performance Manager, Coordinator High Performance, East & West Regional High Performance Managers and High Performance Analyst Coordinator.

The growth of the OPDL will require additional human resources to execute a very detailed OPDL Performance Management System.

The OPDL Performance Management System will operate under the following system protocols:

OPDL Performance Management System: Educational strategy regarding a new high performance culture within the OSA membership.

  • Technical implementation of an effective talent identification process based upon a defined OSA player development concept. 
  • Process of implementing an effective player development support system that includes technical resources and a player development curriculum. 
  • Delivery of coach education within the OPDL, and provision of effective technical support tools for OPDL license holders. 

1. OPDL Player Scouting (U14 Boys/Girls, U13 Boys/Girls)  

The OSA High Performance staff will be responsible for scouting, tracking and monitoring players within the OPDL on all Inter-league rounds. Player profile building will be conducted on the basis of a subjective technical player rubric and match reports, objective video capture and objective technical/physical performance analysis.

2. OPDL Coach Assessments (U14 Boys/Girls, U13 Boys/Girls)  

The OSA High Performance staff will be responsible for conducting match day Coach assessments within the OPDL during In-Conference rounds.

3. OPDL Club Performance Assessments  

The OSA High Performance staff will be responsible for conducting OPDL Club technical standards assessments. The OPDL Club Standards Assessments will be based on the OPDL club meeting technical compliance criteria. The OPDL teams' staff execution of technical on field training and weekly periodization calendar will also be assessed.

4. OPDL Coach Development within Talent Development Centers

The OSA High Performance staff will be responsible for the delivery of technical coach education and the use of effective technical support tools for OPDL license holders.

Additional OSA High Performance Staff Roles

The OSA High Performance staff will also be responsible also for the execution of player identification at OSA Talent on Location Days, Provincial Player Screening Competition weekends as well as role with the Provincial Projects program as a Head Coach or an Assistant Coach.
