Hosted by the newly formed One SC (Ottawa Royals and Nepean Storm) with support from EODSA, a recent two-day grassroots coaches workshop was a resounding success.

The coaches in attendance got the opportunity to plan and implement the OSA player development model with 60 grassroots players. The model, which focuses on the station approach with technical activities and small sided games, was received well by the young players who came out on Sunday afternoon.

The workshop introduced attending coaches to: various coaching styles and methodologies, the four corner player development model, talent potential over talent identification and a variety of other topics that will assist them in the development of their young players.

Any other organizations who would like to host a grassroots coaches workshop are encouraged to contact Bobby Lennox, Manager of Player Development.
