Recently Sport Chek Leaside hosted an interactive question and answer session featuring Toronto FC players Nick Hagglund, Herculez Gomez and OPDL players nominated by the License Holders.

OPDL players who attended the event were tasked with coming up with questions related to pre-game preparation, proper equipment practices and training that will help them in their aspirations of a future in competitive soccer.

The Ontario Soccer Association, in collaboration with Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment, invited OPDL License Holders to nominate two U-14 OPDL Players, one male and one female, to attend the event. Selected players were chosen based on having demonstrated outstanding leadership, sportsmanship and keen interest in the area of training and game preparation throughout the entire OPDL season.

In the near future, the event hosted frequently by MLSE, will serve as an opportunity for OPDL players to interact and learn from elite athletes.
