In the first Under 14 Boys Ontario Indoor Cup Semi-Final of the day, the Brampton Blast took on the Erin Mill Golden Eagles. Both teams were eager to move onto the prestigious final. Brampton was quick to get on the board and proved their efficiency in front of the goal with five goals.

Matthew Vieira, Massimo Vaglica, Jevontae Layne, and Joseph Caridi were all able to score for Brampton, with Joseph Caridi scoring twice. Erin Mills fought hard to stave off Brampton’s attacks but were unfortunately not rewarded for their efforts.

The second semi-final yielded a very exciting fifty minutes of play. In what proved to be a game of many scoring chances,

Epic FC opened the scoring in the 8th minute on a penalty kick, which Carson Larabie cooly converted.

Mississauga drew level within a minute on a goal from Daunte Walkes. Two more goals, in the 20th from Mark Allen, and a second goal from Daunte Walkes in the 22nd minute, meant a 3-1 lead for Mississauga going into the 2nd half.

Epic FC came out determined to regain control of this game. Ronaldo Marshall pulled Epic FC within one, three minutes into the half. With Mississauga looking to secure the lead, Epic FC’s Carson Larabie scored his second of the match to tie this semi-final with 15 minutes to play. With the teams tied, it looked as if the match would be decided on kicks from the penalty mark.
