Firstly, congratulations to the Darlington SC, Hamilton Sparta SC and Saltfleet SC, and others who are now in the process to take advantage of the OSA Course Rebate Program.

If you haven’t heard of the program, the Government of Ontario’s Ontario Sport and Recreation Communities Fund have offered 2,000 free courses to Clubs across the province from now until the start of the Pan American Games on July 10.

Within each District Association boundary an allocation has been made that includes:

1 Active Start Course (Coach)
1 FUNdamentals course (Coach)
1 Learn to Train course (Coach)
1 Small Sided Game course (Match Official)
1 Futsal course (Match Official)

To be eligible for an OSA Course Rebate, Clubs must provide evidence of:

  1. Having hosted or preparing to host a Grassroots Workshop in 2014 or 2015
  2. Delivering or preparing to deliver a Grassroots Festival at their Club or on behalf of their District Association that includes a Special Needs element.
  3. Booked a Coach or Match Official course for 2015 through the normal channels.

There are only a limited number of courses, so applications for an OSA Course Rebate will happen on a first come, first served basis.

Clubs can receive a rebate for a maximum of one course with proof of all three criteria being completed.
