This has been an incredibly successful year for the growth of accessible soccer programs in Ontario.

At year end, we have 15 club based programs operating from Windsor to Ottawa and north in Sudbury.

Find out more about those programs.

Additionally, York Region Soccer Association offered its two week free camp in the summer, OSA Staff and Volunteers played a key role in the delivery of Para Pan Am Soccer at the University of Toronto fields this summer and a flourishing partnership with Ontario Blind Sport Association gave over 300 children and adults the opportunity to experience blind soccer for the first time.

As we look towards 2016 the plans get bigger and better. Oakville SC will be the latest club to launch an accessible program in January, Fergus Elora District Soccer will run their annual Special Needs Festival (July 9) with Kitchener SC, Pickering SC and Sudbury Region Soccer planning for festival events in the summer.

The OSA Soccer Summit will include an Accessible Soccer Workshop on Sunday, March 6, including an on-field session and classroom discussion. This is open to clubs currently running programs and for those interested in serving their whole community.

Look out for more details on all these initiatives in the coming months.
