Whitecaps London defeats Cambridge United 4–1 to win the 2025 OPDL Cup U17 Boys title.

Play. Inspire. Unite.

On Saturday, August 9 at the Zanchin Automotive Soccer Centre Stadium, Whitecaps London were crowned 2025 OPDL Cup U17 Boys Champions after a dominant performance from start to finish led them to a 4–1 victory over Cambridge United.

Whitecaps opened the scoring early when Micah Cuglietta delivered a well-placed ball to Camilo Venegas, who stretched wide to slot it into the opposite corner. The momentum continued as Franz Soraca chipped a throw-in into the box, allowing Venegas to head home his second of the match. Just before halftime, Soraca intercepted a goal kick and sent Venegas through once again — the striker completed his hat trick with a composed finish, giving Whitecaps a 3–0 lead at the break.

Cambridge had a chance to respond early in the second half when Luke Wildi won a penalty, but Tyson Vo couldn’t convert. They eventually pulled one back in the 60th minute, as Dimitri Grieb set up Vo for a clean finish to make it 3–1. Cambridge continued to press, with Artam Elmazi going one-on-one with Whitecaps keeper Dominic Cabral, who came up big with a crucial save.

Whitecaps sealed the win in the 79th minute when Mateo Muturaj danced through defenders and found the back of the net with a slick finish, capping off a commanding performance.

With a strong attacking display and solid goalkeeping, Whitecaps London earned the U17 Boys OPDL Cup title in style.
