Bolton wasted no time getting on the scoresheet. In just the 8th minute, Mateo Stancov opened the scoring with a low strike into the bottom corner. Oak Ridges responded with pressure of their own, as Matt Passacquale had a solid chance in the 15th minute, but his effort drifted wide. Just minutes later, Bolton goalkeeper Matthew Rossi came up big in the 17th minute, making a crucial save to preserve the lead.
Bolton doubled their advantage in the 20th minute, when Jayden Argueia found the back of the net with a composed finish, giving his side a commanding 2–0 lead. Oak Ridges continued to push forward, including a promising chance in the 42nd minute when Passacquale attempted to connect with Russel Bulgin on a cross, but the play didn’t materialize.
At halftime, Bolton held the momentum with a 2–0 lead.
Oak Ridges came out fighting in the second half and were rewarded in the 74th minute, as Dylan Quanbury headed home a perfectly placed cross from Jonathan Szymansky, cutting the deficit in half. Despite a late push from Oak Ridges, Bolton stayed compact and focused, holding off the attack to secure the win.
With a strong start and a composed finish, Bolton Wanderers SC earned the U21 Men Ontario Cup title, capping off an exciting day of finals.
