The U13 Girls Final at the 2025 Ontario Indoor Cup featured a thrilling showdown between London Alliance FC Mustangs and Toronto Cherry Beach Red Cheetahs at the Zanchin Automotive Soccer Centre in Vaughan. In a hard-fought battle, Cherry Beach emerged victorious with a 2-0 win.
The match began with Cherry Beach’s Josie Majic taking the first chance on goal, only to be denied by London keeper Mia Riccardi. London responded in the 11th minute with Kazia Smith firing a long-range shot, but Cherry Beach’s goalkeeper Ava Ghandour made a crucial save.
Cherry Beach continued to push forward, nearly breaking the deadlock in the 20th minute when Aaliyah Milne delivered a precise cross into Tessa Warren inside the box. However, Riccardi came up big again with another block. Smith attempted another shot for London in the 25th minute, but once again, Ghandour was there to keep the scoreline level.
The teams entered halftime locked in a scoreless draw, but Cherry Beach found their breakthrough in the 33rd minute. Warren stole the ball from a London defender and played it to Milne, who, despite being surrounded by defenders, managed to fire the ball into the top corner to give her team a 1-0 lead.
Just three minutes later, Cherry Beach doubled their advantage with a brilliant solo effort by Ayla Hanna, sealing the 2-0 victory.
With strong defensive play and clinical finishing, the Cherry Beach Red Cheetahs claimed the U13 Girls Ontario Indoor Cup championship, capping off a well-earned tournament win.
