With the end of the 2024 outdoor season, Ontario Soccer proudly concluded the 2024 Circle K Celebration Festival Grant Program, marking another milestone in grassroots soccer development across the province.

Play. Inspire. Unite.

This season, 50 deserving soccer organizations were selected to receive grants, further empowering their local communities and fostering the growth of youth soccer.

Thanks to the generous support of Premier Partner Circle K, this year’s program reached unprecedented heights, benefiting over 90,000 Ontarians through the 50 festivals hosted across the province.

A Season of Impact

The Circle K Celebration Festival Grant Program made an extraordinary difference in Ontario’s soccer communities, with approximately:

  • 36,000 festival participants
  • 4,000 coaches contributing their time and expertise
  • 53,000 spectators cheering from the sidelines

In total, nearly 93,000 individuals were directly impacted by these grassroots initiatives, creating lasting memories for players, coaches, families, and supporters alike.

Growing Grassroots Soccer

This year’s program represents a remarkable evolution from its inception in 2019, when just five grants were awarded. The increase in recipients underscores Circle K’s commitment to advancing grassroots soccer and supporting inclusive, age-appropriate celebrations of the sport.

The 2024 grant recipients received:

  • $750 Hosting Grants (split into pre- and post-event payments)
  • Co-branded signage and promotional giveaway items to enhance their festivals

These resources enabled Ontario Soccer-sanctioned organizations to host vibrant year-end festivals and jamborees that enriched the participant experience and bolstered community engagement.

Celebrating Our 2024 Recipients

The 50 selected organizations reflect the passion for soccer found in communities across Ontario, from urban centres to rural communities. Their efforts to bring people together and promote youth development have left a lasting positive impact on participants and their families.

Looking Ahead

Ontario Soccer and Circle K extend heartfelt congratulations to this year’s grant recipients. Their innovative approaches to fostering youth soccer and community spirit exemplify the program’s mission: to Play. Inspire. Unite.

As the 2024 season concludes, the program’s success reinforces Ontario Soccer’s dedication to building stronger communities through sport. We look forward to witnessing the continued positive impact of these initiatives in the years to come.
