Ontario Soccer is excited to announce the opening of the registration window for coaches to apply for an evaluation in 2025.

Play. Inspire. Unite.

Ontario Soccer will provide at least two (2) blocks for registration in 2025, as we wait for the transition to the Concacaf Coaching Convention and the upgrade process to the new Concacaf C Diploma. Please see Information Bulletins I2024-38 and I2024-06 for additional information.

The Evaluation Process

Upon fully completing the C License course, coaches must successfully complete an Observation of Competency to attain C License "Certified" status. The Observation of Competencies, or evaluations, are typically organized into four (4) blocks that are approximately three (3) months in duration which provides ample time for coaches to complete all required steps with their assigned Coach Evaluators.

To register for the 2025 Evaluation Blocks, click on the following links below:

  • Block 1 – January to March – click here
    • Block registration closes November 30, 2024
  • Block 2 – April to June – click here
    • Block registration closes February 28, 2025

Please note: Coaches should register for either of the two available blocks, listed above, as the opening of Block 3 and/or 4 is not guaranteed pending the launch of the Concacaf Coaching Convention.

If the desired Evaluation Block is full, please try another Block. Within each block, coaches will complete the evaluation process, as follows:

  • Ontario Soccer connects each coach to their assigned Coach Evaluator (CE) via email;
  • Creation and submission of a full Session Plan and Emergency Action Plan (EAP);
  • Virtual pre-brief of your session plan with the assigned CE prior to delivering the session;
  • Video recording and submission of the training session;
  • Debrief with feedback from a CE who has reviewed the submitted session and will provide a final outcome and action plan.

If coaches are unsuccessful in their evaluation, they are eligible for up to one (1) re-evaluations within their “trained” status window (currently three years). Each additional evaluation is subject to a payment of $250.

Before requesting an evaluation...

When registering for an Evaluation Block, coaches must ensure they are able to complete the entire process in the allotted three (3) month timeframe. Failure to complete the process or withdrawal at any point will result in an incomplete attempt and require that the coach re-registers for another Evaluation Block with the accompanying fee in full. No exceptions will be made as there is a limit of available spots to be evaluated within each Evaluation Block.
