Ontario Soccer and the Zanchin Automotive Group announced today that both parties have agreed to enter a historic 10-year naming rights partnership that will see the Ontario Soccer Centre, located at 7601 Martin Grove Road, become the Zanchin Automotive Soccer Centre.

The associated partnership investment will provide an important means for Ontario Soccer to operate and maintain the facility sustainably and in a manner keeping rental and usage fees stable and competitive for current and future community user groups.

Celebrating 50 years in the automotive business from when its success story started in 1973, President and CEO Joe Zanchin has built his business over the last four decades into one of the leading automotive groups in Canada. Representing 19 brands and 38 locations across Ontario, the group now employs over 1,800 people.

“Opening our first dealership in the Vaughan community 50 years ago, I am proud to continue to support the Vaughan and surrounding communities by partnering with this premium Soccer Centre to celebrate a place where families and Soccer enthusiasts come together,” said Joe Zanchin, President and CEO, Zanchin Automotive Group.

“The Zanchin Automotive Group’s passion is providing exceptional service and delivering an above and beyond experience in sales and service. This aligns with the same passion to excel that we see in the Ontario Soccer Centre, providing exceptional programs and services to the soccer community,” stated Andria Zanchin, Principal and Vice President, Zanchin Automotive Group.

Built in 1997 by Ontario Soccer and located in Vaughan, the Zanchin Automotive Soccer Centre is the provincial headquarters and home of soccer for Ontario. A popular hub for sporting and cultural events, including the Ontario Cup and OPDL Gary Miller Charity Shield, as well as League1 Ontario Finals it is also the Centre of numerous Coach, Player, Administrator and Match Official training events. The facility is visited by close to one million soccer enthusiasts and community stakeholders annually and is also a lifestyle destination for the people of York Region, and beyond.

“In 2015 new management met, planned and dreamed of a vision of one day having a renovated facility, a rebranded organization, and a naming rights partner on the front of our building,” stated Ontario Soccer CEO Johnny Misley. “Fulfilling this vision and making this dream a reality with a partner like the Zanchin Automotive Group that proudly shares our strong commitment to the community and province, ranks among our proudest achievements and is a marvelous way to start off 2024, as our home now becomes the Zanchin Automotive Soccer Centre,” he added.

“It is a rare privilege to be able to partner with a tight-knit company whose values authentically extend from the top down to ensure that all stakeholders are presented with a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and with the team at Zanchin this is truly at the core of their success, just like Ontario Soccer’s objective is to make sure in Soccer, everyone is welcome,” stated Bjorn Osieck, Senior Director, Business, Ontario Soccer.

Both partners have begun the process of changing the exterior and interior signage, as well as road signage, wayfinding, administrative and promotional materials over the next couple of months before a formal reveal event will be held for the community.

To further give back to the community, the Zanchin Automotive Group will also be sponsoring a series of annual scholarships to support young soccer leaders from around the province. Additional information about partnership plans will be shared in the coming months.
