Congratulations to the 17 Match Officials that were selected for the U Sports and CCAA Championships, held in cities throughout Canada between November 7 and 12.

Play. Inspire. Unite.

A total of 17 Match Officials proudly represented Ontario at the U Sports and Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Soccer Championships this past weekend.

Top Match Officials from multiple provinces were hand-picked to officiate these high-stakes games, fulfilling their duties with the utmost professionalism and care.

"We are proud of the Ontario Match Officials who attended the U Sports and CCAA Championships this year, and performed with distinction," said David Barrie, Ontario Soccer's Manager of Match Official Development. "These tournaments can be challenging, which is a testament to the high-level abilities and all-round professionalism within the Ontario Match Official community.”

The 2023 U Sports Championships took place from November 8-12 at Queens University in Kingston, ON on the women's side, and at Cape Breton University in Sydney, NS for the men. Shout out to Ontario's Joe Audi who served as the Supervisor of Officials at the Kingston competition!

As for the 2023 CCAA Championships, the men's competition unfolded at St. Clair College in Windsor, ON while the women's squads played at Holland College in Charlottesville, PEI from November 7-11. Two leaders in  Ontario's Match Official community supported these events. Donia Torabi was a Match Official Coach at the CCAA Women's Championship and John Oliva served as an Assessor at the matches out west.

Congratulations!
