Ontario Soccer would like to say a big congratulations and thank you to the Match Officials who were appointed to the 2023 OPDL Gary Miller Charity Shield. Held at the Ontario Soccer Centre on October 21 and 22, the 2023 OPDL Gary Miller Charity was massive, raising over $12,000 for several esteemed Ontario charities.
Six matches took place over the event weekend, led by our solid team of Match Officials. Their expertise, professionalism and quick decision-making ensured that every match was played fairly, safely and efficiently. The appointed Match Officials came from various Districts but worked as a cohesive unit to make the 2023 OPDL Gary Miller Charity Shield a success.

David Figliano stuck around after Saturday evening's games alongside Matthew Arduini. Together, these instructors provided an education session to the Match Officials who attended the event. The session focused on positioning and foul recognition. These are valuable concepts they can take with them as they develop as Match Officials.
