With Pride Month kicking off tomorrow across the country, Ontario Soccer is embracing all, who love and play the game, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.
Peter Augruso, President/Chair, Board of Directors and Johnny Misley, Ontario Soccer CEO expressed the importance of recognizing the month of June as increasingly relevant in 2023. “As leaders in the sport community, Ontario Soccer loves everybody. With inclusion as a pillar in our organizational culture, it is our duty to ensure all who play soccer feel safe and secure.”
June is a time for people to reflect on the progress that has been made towards inclusion and equity, and acknowledge the work that is still to be done. Ontario Soccer is a proud ally of our friends in the 2SLGBTQI+ Community, and will continue to work towards a goal of inclusion for all.
In order to mark this important occasion, activities have been planned to celebrate Pride – stay updated via our social and web channels, and check back regularly for more information.
Ontario Soccer is also pleased to announce that enhancements will be coming to the Ontario Soccer Club Account Registry (OSCAR). For more information on this small but significant change, please reach out to the Ontario Soccer office via email at firstname.lastname@example.org .
