It is with great sadness that Ontario Soccer has learned of the passing of William Hay, former Ontario Soccer Board Member and President of the Peel Halton Soccer Association.

With over 30 years of tireless and dedicated service to our beautiful game, William represented the best sides of soccer in Ontario through his leadership both on the pitch and in the board room.

He was a valued contributor to Ontario Soccer through his involvement at the Board level, in committees like the Technical Advisory, League Management Committee, the recent IModel Steering Committee and many more.

William was also a pioneer and ambassador for Futsal, establishing Peel Region as a hotbed of the game through his hard work. 

In 2016, William Hay was recognized with Ontario Soccer's Meritorious Service Award for his outstanding contributions. 

His strong voice and presence will be missed.
