Play. Inspire. Unite.

Ontario Soccer kicked off 2022 on the right foot this weekend as the Ontario Indoor Cup wrapped up for four divisions.

The Ontario Soccer Centre played host to teams from across the province, as the U-13 and U-14 Boys and Girls divisions concluded their Indoor Cup campaigns in thrilling fashion.

In the U-13 Boys division, Jarvis SC Academy took on Milton Magic Grey in the final.

Milton got things going early when they opened the scoring in the third minute. Ethan Thomas’ pass in found the foot of Justin Clavero, whose half volley fooled the Jarvis keeper and they took a 1-0 lead.

They doubled their lead in the 9th minute when Nelson Nofiele’s cross sat up nicely for Renton Leighton. Leighton’s powerful header bent the twine and lifted his side to 2-0.

Thomas would add another assist to his tally with good work in the midfield. He laid off a nice pass to Kamron Aliev who only had to tap in his chance to give his side the 3-0 lead.

The second half was more of the same as Milton continued to work the ball around and had a number of chances. If it were not for the play of the Jarvis keeper Aaran Rajamukunthan, the score could have been more lopsided.

As it stood, Milton’s Leighton would add his second on the day when a bobbled chance fell to his foot and he converted the opportunity to make it 4-0 with only a few minutes remaining.

Thomas got in on the action with two minutes remaining, tapping a goal in the 47th minute. That would be all they would need and the final would end 5-0 for the Milton Magic Grey. Anthony Villella recorded the shutout for Milton.
