Ontario Soccer is aiding Districts and Clubs in their ability to attract and keep match officials

Play. Inspire. Unite.

Ontario Soccer are pleased to provide our members with a series of new Match Official Recruitment and Retention materials that can aid in reaching out to your community.

With Annual Registration and Match Official Accreditation Clinics now open, these materials can be used on social media, your websites, shared via email and in newsletters, or printed and placed on information boards within your facilities.

These Members Association Recruitment tools can be found on OntarioSoccer.net/Recruitment and include a document that will assist in determining how to target your membership and utilize the material effectively.

Only 55 per cent of Match Officials who registered in 2019 returned for the 2021 season. This shortfall impacts everyone in the game and it is important to educate new and returning match officials on the benefits the role has in soccer.

Additionally, as a reminder, member organizations are welcomed and encouraged to attend our Club and District Recruitment Webinars, which are geared towards District Administrators, District and Club Presidents, Technical Staff and Boards.

These webinars will be taking place in February. Please register online, join our open discussion and share ideas.

Please review all documents carefully, and if you have any questions afterwards please contact:
