The Ontario Cup Finals came to a conclusion for eight divisions over the weekend at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan.
The Ontario Cup, which has staged a triumphant comeback in 2021, concluded for the U-14 Boys, U-15 Girls, U-15 Boys, U-17 Boys, U-17 Girls, U-16 Girls (District), Women's and Men's divisions.
What began as over 300 teams and 6,000 athletes, was down to a final two teams, who were facing off in the 105th running of the Soccer For Life competition.
As a variety of storylines played out across the youth divisions, the two senior divisions were writing their names in the history books.
Scarborough GS United won an eighth straight Women's Ontario Cup, solidifying them as the most successful team in the history of the division.
On the men's side, Gloucester Celtic continued to put its stamp on the Ontario Cup, winning their third Ontario Cup in the last eight years.
Both sides are building dynasties in their respective divisions.
The next Ontario Cup finals will take place on the Sept. 18-19 weekend. The U-13 Boys, U-13 Girls, U-16 Boys District, U-14 Girls and U-16 Girls final will complete their Ontario Cup campaigns.
