The National Youth Club Licence is the highest category of recognition for youth soccer organizations within the Canada Soccer Club Licensing Program. Organizations achieving this licence display characteristics and demonstrate behaviours aligned with the highest expectations of governance, administration, infrastructure, and technical, support their Member Association and Canada Soccer Pathways and participate in the highest level of competition in Canada

For 2021, Canada Soccer, in collaboration with Ontario Soccer, are very pleased to extend the opportunity to Clubs and Academies to submit a letter of intent to apply for the Canada Soccer National Youth Club Licence under the Canada Soccer Club Licensing Program.

Organizations interested in submitting a letter of intent, may do so by completing the information here and uploading a signed letter by August 31, 2021.

After August 31, organizations submitting a Declaration of Intent will be provided with access to the Canada Soccer Club Licensing System and National Youth Club Licence Application Package, which must be submitted to Canada Soccer by November 1, 2021, to proceed to the first stage of the review process.

Organizations, which meet the required criteria in Canada Soccer’s review, will proceed to the second stage of the National Youth Club Licence assessment, specific to the Ontario Player Development League’s standards, which is conducted by Ontario Soccer. The timelines, evaluation criteria, and supporting resources will be made available in the first quarter of the 2022 calendar year.

Additional information on the Canada Soccer Club Licensing Program, including the specific requirements of the National Youth Club Licence are available within the Play section on the Canada Soccer website.
