Canada Soccer has recently advised Member Associations that they are to be playing by the current, 2021-2022 International Football Association Board (IFAB) Laws of the Game.

Canada Soccer has set up training sessions for their National Instructors, selected Provincial Instructors and determined that each Member Association will be required to teach these new Laws of the Game before the start of the 2021 outdoor season.

In order to ensure Ontario Soccer inform the membership within the limited timeframe, an education session has been recorded. This recorded session was originally delivered to League1 Ontario Match Officials and Assessors. This Extended Law Change Presentation is now available for all members to review. This session is 2.5 hours in length and is delivered by National Instructor, Gordon Arrowsmith.

Additionally, there is a second presentation entitled “The Coach Law Change Presentation”, which was delivered to League1 Ontario Coaches. This presentation is 1.25 hours in length and is delivered by League1 Ontario Director of Officials, Tony Camacho.

Further educational materials will be made available soon to Ontario Soccer’s Accredited Instructor Group.

It is highly recommended that all Leagues, Coaches, Technical Directors and Match Officials review these recordings.
