Here are the simple steps you can take to help raise awareness about our latest call to action

Play. Inspire. Unite.

Ontario Soccer continues to work in consultation with Canada Soccer and the Government of Ontario, as we prepare for Return to Play 2021. Ontario Soccer will keep the membership updated with the most recent developments surrounding Ontario Soccer’s Return to Play Plan.

Ontario Soccer has been working diligently with the relevant Public Health and Sport authorities to ensure a safe and successful Return to Play this summer for our members.

As part of that ongoing effort, Ontario Soccer today issued a new letter to Premier Doug Ford, Dr. David Williams, Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer, urgently requesting that the Province take another bold and prudent step forward by reversing its decision to stop all outdoor organized and controlled sports.

Ontario Soccer has shown previously that they provide an essential avenue for our youth and adult participants to stay healthy and fit, with a demonstrated minimal risk of community transmission.

We are encouraging our membership to again respectfully contact their local MPs, MPPs, Municipal Authorities and Public Health Units to share this news and lobby them to make change at the grassroots level.

The letter can be found here, replicated and used for your own local efforts. It details how, if given the opportunity, Ontario Soccer will continue to implement a holistic solution to dealing with the insidiously damaging effects Covid-19 has had on Ontarians – in particular our vulnerable Youth - and will rally our grassroots community to overcome this challenge through the kind of resolve and resilience only sport can offer.

If you have any further questions, please contact Patty Forbes, Director, Administration.
