Play. Inspire. Unite.

Ontario Soccer’s Play ON! e-Learning Series, presented by Respect in Sport, continues on Thursday, March 25 with an engaging presentation by industry-renowned sports management consultant, lecturer, professional speaker and author Paul Varian, President of Capitis Consulting.

Building on his vast sport leadership experience enriched with insights from his Amazon #1 Best Seller “Don’t Blame The Soccer Parents”, Varian will be Making the Case for the Value of Return to Play.

Having helped many sport organizations, ranging from large national sport governing bodies to local community sport Clubs, to manage themselves more effectively, Varian will share crucial tips for Ontario Soccer member organizations for a successful journey towards a safe Return to Play.

With soccer still being on a bit of a public health rollercoaster ride, participants will learn more about the short- and long-game approaches to Return to Play, with specific emphasis on managing risk, building a stronger balance sheet, and ensuring they have a robust community-driven vision and purpose.

In addition, the session will highlight the importance of understanding your customer base and what they are planning to do when pitches re-open, while stressing the necessity to be agile and innovative in your program planning and delivery process.

Throughout the series from March 10 to April 29, Ontario Soccer will offer a weekly online session with succinct and relevant insights and practical take-aways designed to appeal to a diverse cross-section of Ontario Soccer members and stakeholders (Clubs, Academies, Districts, Leagues, administrators, coaches, managers, volunteers, parents, players, officials, etc.).
