Ontario Soccer is pleased to announce registration is now open for a new National Coach C Licence course, which begins March 6, 2021.
The course will offer a theory component, which will be delivered online and an in-person practical component, which will take place at the Ontario Soccer Centre, once it is safe to resume in-person activities under the Ontario Soccer Return to Play Guidelines.
Overview:
The National C Licence is the entry-level course for the Licensing Stream pathway and prepares the coach to progress to the Development Stream (Children or Youth) or Performance Stream (Senior). The C Licence involves the facilitation of learning opportunities for the coach to develop an understanding of the coaching process.
What do you learn?
The C Licence content involves theoretical and practical components focusing on holistic, effective coaching. The workshop modules covers content including:
Coaches who obtain a C Licence Certification will be able to be a Head Coach in some Regional Leagues and Assistant Coach in the OPDL.
What are the course pre-requisites?
Prior to registering for the C Licence course, coaches must complete the following:
The completion of Learn to Train OR Soccer for Life is strongly recommended but not mandatory.
Structure of the C Licence Course
The course will consist of eight online Zoom sessions and one on-field practical session.
Dates & Location
Theory Component - Online sessions via Zoom:
On-field Practical will be at the Ontario Soccer Centre (7601 Martin Grove Road - Vaughan, Ontario)
NOTE: 100% attendance and engagement is required for the duration of the course.

Application and Registration
Coaches are required to apply for the course via Coach Centre, providing proof of their completion of the pre-requisites. Upon being approved, coaches are then able to register for the course they are interested in.
