Play. Inspire. Unite.
Ontario Soccer, in consultation with Canada Soccer and the Government of Ontario, continues to monitor the most recent developments surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the resulting public health crisis and Ontario Soccer’s Return to Play Plan.
The Government of Ontario announced today that it has extended the Lockdown for the Public Health Units in Northern Ontario until at least January 23, 2021.
All other regions in Ontario will remain in Lockdown until at least January 23, 2021 as well.
The Government of Ontario will determine if it is safe to lift any restrictions, or if they need to be extended at that time.
These restrictions are greater than the previous Government of Ontario Framework and the Province has made specific changes to the rules for outdoor recreational facilities and team sports.
As a result, all in-person soccer activities remain suspended until further notice.
Ontario Soccer will continue to update the membership as further changes are made.
Ontario Soccer requests that all member organizations ensure they know which Public Health Unit they are located in. Click here to find your Public Health Unit.
Member organizations are encouraged to stay in contact with their local Public Health Unit and Municipality during this period.
