The Host Users Guide, which was due in draft at the end of October, has been delayed until January 2021.

Ontario Soccer originally communicated updates to the 2021 Match Official accreditation clinics in the I2020-098 bulletin. At that time, it confirmed that clinics will continue to be delivered through an improved online format.

The Host Users Guide, which was due in draft at the end of October, has been delayed until January 2021.

The improved system requires beta testing prior to releasing the Users Guide and this testing will not occur until early January.

The Guide will include clinic information and further details and will be provided electronically to each registered Club, District and Academy when completed. It will then be available online at OntarioSoccer.net.

Further 2021 Clinic Adjustments include:

  • Hosts (Club, Academy, District or other) are no longer required to pay for Entry Level or Small Sided Accreditation Clinics, or any additional student fees. This is to assist in rebuilding the match official pool for the Host, at no cost to the Host. The Student will pay Ontario Soccer directly.
  • All education will be completed online. This removes the cost of hosting in-class 16-hour sessions, Clinic supervision, facilities and refreshments from the Host.
  • A request will be made of the Host to assist in the facilitation of the required practical training as an opportunity to connect with their new officials.
  • Ontario Soccer will pay each Host a per head student fee upon their completion of the accreditation. This could assist in offsetting any practical training costs, or be utilized in match officials development program.
