Canada Soccer recently announced the latest Coach Education A Licence Cohort

Play. Inspire. Unite.

Canada Soccer has announced that 30 coaches who participated in the A Licence courses in 2017 and 2018 have completed the subsequent requirements to gain certification. The A Licence is currently the top-level certification in the Performance Stream of Canada Soccer’s Coach Education Program for senior players currently playing in a college/university, professional club or academy environment.

The A Licence comes with a three-year validity and fulfills the coach education requirements of the Canada Soccer Professional Club Licence for the first-team head coach. More information on the Canada Soccer A Licence program is available at: https://www.canadasoccer.com/coach/coach-education-and-certification/a-licence/

The A Licence cohort follows announcements of the initial cohort of Youth Licence and Children’s Licence holders from the pilot programs of those programs. The addition of the Youth and Children’s Licence courses create three streams of coach education individualized for coaches working with children, youth, and senior players to ensure that coaches are providing developmentally appropriate training for players at each stage of development.
