Registration open for Goalkeeper Coach Diploma Course

The upcoming Goalkeeper Diploma Course, which will be a combination of Online Learning and a one (1) day in-person, practical session to be held at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan, Ontario.

Ontario Soccer, in consultation with Canada Soccer and governmental advisors, continues to monitor the most recent developments surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the resulting public health crisis.

Ontario Soccer is excited to announce the upcoming Goalkeeper Diploma Course, which will be a combination of Online Learning and a one (1) day in-person, practical session to be held at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan, Ontario.

The course includes online and in-person education. For the in-person portion of the course, attendees will be required to observe regional public health and safety protocols, while properly socially distancing and wearing appropriate personal protection equipment.

Overview:

This Goalkeeper Coach Diploma course is produced by Ontario Soccer and it combines theoretical and practical components of Goalkeeping Coaching.

What are the course pre-requisites?

Structure of the Goalkeeper Coach Diploma Course

The course will consist of four (4) online Zoom sessions and one (1) on-field practical day.

Dates & Location

Evening Online Classes via Zoom – Starting Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

  • Wednesday, October 28, 2020 - 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Wednesday, November 4, 2020 - 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Wednesday, November 11, 2020 - 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Wednesday, November 18, 2020 - 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

On-field Practical at the Ontario Soccer Centre (7601 Martin Grove Road - Vaughan, Ontario)

  • Thursday, November 26, 2020 – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

NOTE: 100% attendance and engagement is required for the duration of the course.

What is the cost?

$525

Application and Registration

Coaches are required to apply for the course via Coach Centre, providing proof of their completion of the pre-requisites. Upon being approved, coaches are then able to register for the course they are interested in.
