Ontario Soccer, in consultation with Canada Soccer and public health authorities have been monitoring the most recent developments of COVID-19 and are currently assessing operations (postponements and cancellations) on a month-to-month basis as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold.

The GTA Talent on Location Day and Provincial Screening Competition events in 2020 relied on the approval of Return to Play - Phase 3, in accordance with the Government of Ontario Health Orders.

While we have made significant progress towards Phase 3, including the recent announcement of “Phase 2 – Enhanced Format for Modified Games”, the current circumstances prevent the GTA Talent on Location Days and the Provincial Screening Competition from taking place in 2020.

In light of the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ontario Soccer has made the difficult decision to suspend efforts to resume the GTA Talent on Location and Provincial Screening Events in 2020. As a reminder, the Greater North Talent on Location was also cancelled in May.

The health and safety of our participants was first and foremost in our decision.

Further details on the dates and recommendation windows for the 2021 Greater North and Greater Toronto Area Talent on Location Day Events will be announced in the first quarter of 2021.

Dates for Provincial Screening Competition will also be announced in the first quarter of 2021.
