Ontario Soccer, in consultation with Canada Soccer and public health authorities have been monitoring the most recent developments of COVID-19 and are currently assessing operations (postponements and cancellations) on a month-to-month basis as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold.

Ontario Soccer has previously announced that the 2020 Match Official Accreditation Clinics are moving online.

Ontario Soccer are pleased to announce today that the Student User Guide, for the online accreditation process for Match Official clinics, is now available.

Please ensure that students review this guide in its entirety prior to starting the clinic process.

The online Match Official Accreditation Clinics will open on Saturday, May 2, 2020 with the release of the Self-Study Modules.

Ontario Soccer recommends that students complete the Self-Guided Study Modules as soon as possible in order to be able to select dates and times for the ‘In-Class’ Zoom sessions.

Following the launch, on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, the first of the ‘In-Class’ Zoom on-line sessions will commence.

Please note that the online sessions will only run from Wednesday May 6, 2020 to June 15, 2020 and all exams must be completed no later than June 17, 2020.

As well, only students who have already registered through RefCentre for a clinic, and have been approved by a clinic host, will have the ability to access and register for the online clinics. If there are any aspiring Match Officials who have not yet registered, please do so now.

Students will be required to create an Academy Soccer Coach (ASC) account as all modules and Zoom sessions will be managed and distributed through this platform. Information on creating this account is included in the Student Users Guide.

Please note, the ASC platform registration is free, and is in addition to the RefCentre account which Match Officials used to sign-up for the Clinics.

Multiple Zoom sessions are offered in multiple timeslots to allow flexibility for families and students.
