Please be advised in the event that the 2020 Outdoor Season is cancelled, SportsEngine has agreed in good faith, given these challenging times, not to collect the SAAS fees applicable to 2020 outdoor season (OSCAR) registrations.

Play. Inspire. Unite.

Ontario Soccer has been in discussion with SportsEngine, our Official Technology Partner, regarding the COVID-19 health crisis and the impact it is having on soccer activities across the province.  Specifically, the collection of 2020 outdoor registration fees and the collection of Software as a Service Fees (SAAS) through the Ontario Soccer Club & Academy Registry (OSCAR) has been discussed.

Please be advised in the event that the 2020 Outdoor Season is cancelled, SportsEngine has agreed in good faith, given these challenging times, not to collect the SAAS fees applicable to 2020 outdoor season (OSCAR) registrations.

As a result, Ontario Soccer will not collect both Outdoor Player Registration fees and OSCAR, powered by SportsEngine, SaaS fees if the 2020 Outdoor Season is cancelled in its entirety.

Ontario Soccer recommends and encourages Districts, Clubs and Academies to continue or commence registering their members into OSCAR in anticipation of the Return to Play directives, as well as to provide proper insurance coverage for members participating in online environments.

During this unprecedented time, while we continue to support our Districts, Clubs and Academies delivering Virtual Strength and Conditioning and Physical Technical Training, Ontario Soccer must also ensure our members are presently compliant with the policies and procedures regarding registration and insurance coverage.

Please be advised insurance coverage will only be provided to participants registered and in good standing with Ontario Soccer. Any person providing training must also be registered. This includes but is not limited to coaches, instructors, and assessors. Any person participating in virtual training must be registered. This includes but is not limited to players and match officials. Those individuals not registered with Ontario Soccer will not be eligible for insurance coverage.

At the present time the 2020 Outdoor Soccer season for all levels of soccer in Ontario has not been cancelled. Ontario Soccer, working in collaboration with Canada Soccer, Public Health authorities, our provincial government and our provincial sport ministry, is assessing the situation on a regular basis and continues to update membership on directives through our various communication channels.
