Play. Inspire. Unite.

The first day of the Ontario Soccer Summit 2020, presented by Respect in Sport, got off to a wonderful start with a pair of fascinating keynotes, strong sessions from local presenters and a Kick-Off Reception that featured the host district launching a new brand.

Victor Montagliani, the Vice-President of FIFA and President of Concacaf, conducted a fireside chat before an enraptured audience on Day 1 of Ontario Soccer Summit.

Speaking to successes at the FIFA and Concacaf levels, he praised Ontario Soccer's membership for their great work in developing athletes in the province.

Montagliani's talk was followed by a data deep dive by Dr. Norm O'Reilly, a leading scholar in the business of sport.

Sharing a depth of sport and business data rarely seen before at Ontario Soccer Summit, O'Reilly provided practical content that Districts, Clubs and Academies could take back to their members.

The evening was concluded with a brand launch by the Hamilton and District Soccer Association.

Earlier in the day, Ontario Soccer Summit saw its first on-field sessions of the weekend as Stuart Neely, Canada Soccer's Manager of Coach Education, led coaches through an informative session.

That was followed by Bobby Lennox, a Canada Soccer Facilitator, providing a Children's License Preview for those who were in attendance.
