Ontario Soccer’s Board of Directors at their December 7, 2019 meeting approved the Ontario Soccer Game Related and Non-Game Related Operational Procedures for 2020 and 2021. The updated governing document which will take effect immediately upon release can be found today on the Governing Documents section of the Ontario Soccer website. It is also important to note that updates include the Ontario Soccer Grassroots Standards, formerly known as the “Ontario Soccer LTPD Development Matrices”, are now recommended standards for players U12 and under in order to be aligned with Canada Soccer.
This review includes multiple updates and changes that have been outlined in a ‘Major Changes’ form for both Game Related and Non-Game Related and has also been made available on the Ontario Soccer website for your reference.
Ontario Soccer will continue to work towards keeping the Governing Documents of the Association updated and easily accessible to assist with the administration of the game across the province.
Please be advised that any changes made to the Operational Procedures that directly affect the administration and operations of Soccer across Ontario and are impactful prior to the end of the Indoor Season, will take affect at the end of the season, so not to disrupt operations. This is a critical point and any questions in this regard should be directed to Ontario Soccer for full clarification if necessary.
Clubs and Academies are asked to contact their local District Association if they have any questions.
