Ottawa South United won the U-15 Boys OPDL Cup, narrowly defeating Hamilton 1-0.

Play. Inspire. Unite.

The U-15 Boys OPDL Cup final featured Hamilton United taking Ottawa South United.

Hamilton United defeated Vaughan SC in penalties to reach the final while Ottawa South United booked their place in Saturday's final by downing Whitby SC.

Both sides traded chances early and often throughout the first half but neither was able to find a way through.

Ottawa South United would break the deadlock just before the half as Anthony Domanico’s curling shot found the back post, giving his side a 1-0 lead heading into the break.

Hamilton would press early and often in the second half as they looked for the equalizer.

OSU’s keeper Pablo Trujillo was up to the task however, making numerous saves including one off a free kick which seemed destined for the back of the net.

That save would prove to be the difference maker as OSU would hold on the rest of the way and win 1-0, capturing the U-15 Boys OPDL Cup

The OPDL Cup, in its third year, is a single-game knockout format, which is intended to introduce another level of intense competition into OPDL.

The OPDL Cup is designed to help shape and strengthen the players’ response to the kind of environments they will encounter as they progress along the Talented Pathway towards collegiate, professional and national team opportunities.
