Play. Inspire. Unite.

The first four Ontario Cup Finals of 2019 took place on Sunday, as the U-18 and U-21 divisions wrapped up their campaigns.

The semi-finals, which took place at the Ontario Soccer Centre and Vaughan Grove in Vaughan on Saturday, featured some of the best soccer-for-life competition from across the province.

In the U-18 Boys division, the Milton Magic faced Erin Mills while Ottawa South United took on SC Toronto to see who moves on the Ontario Cup finals. Erin Mills downed Milton 8-0 and OSU defeated SC Toronto 5-1.

Erin Mills opened the scoring in the 16th minute when Jayden Cameron got in behind the OSU defensive line and slotted his shot perfectly to the far post to make it 1-0.

Both sides would press for the remainder of the first half but neither could find a way through.

OSU would come out flying for the start of the second half and just when it looked like they might be close to tying the game, Erin Mills won a free kick in the far end.

The free kick was whipped into the box and Erin Mills’ winger Chidiebere Nnolim got on to the end of it and delivered a spectacular volley into the back of the net to double their lead in the 58th minute.

That would be all Erin Mills would need as they shut it down the rest of the way and were crowned U-18 Boys Ontario Cup champions.
