Play. Inspire. Unite.

Ontario Soccer has added a new Grassroots resource to OntarioSoccer.net. The “2v2 Festival Guidelines” has been designed for organizations interested in hosting a Grassroots Festival with a modified playing format.

The 2v2 festival is a player-centric event and an opportunity for players to experience a small-sided game model, outside their usual game day environment. Hosting 2v2 Festivals may also allow the host organization to market their program in the local community and provide information to interested families and athletes.

Participation at 2v2 Festivals are open to all Ontario Soccer Clubs and Academies.

For details on how to host and organize a 2v2 Festival, please refer to 2v2 Festival Guidelines available on OntarioSoccer.net

The 2v2 game format does not replace the standard game format outlined on the Ontario Soccer Development Matrix for grassroots age groups. Instead, this type of festival shall serve to support the purpose and philosophy outlined in the “Game Organization Guide” and “Grassroots Festival Guide
