Stephanie McFarland, an Occupational Therapist at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, hosted a webinar on June 18th. Which looked at the updates from Rowan's Law and how they impact your club or academy

Stephanie McFarland is an occupational therapist at the Holland Bloorview Concussion Centre’s clinical programs. McFarland supports youth and families with symptom management, return to school and sport after concussion injuries.

She also leads the school and sport partnerships of the concussion centre. She consults with local, provincial and national sport and school organizations on their concussion strategy to ensure consistency with best-practice guidelines, provincial legislation and successful implementation at the ground level.

This webinar will provide an outline of the following:

  • Latest evidence surrounding concussion identification, management and prevention in youth
  • Update on Rowan’s Law and provincial legislation surrounding concussion
  • Walk through how to implement concussion protocols at the grassroots level in sport
