Three exciting opportunities are coming up for leaders in Ontario's community

Play. Inspire. Unite.

As a follow-up to the Keeping Girls in Sport Panel at the 2019 Ontario Soccer Summit, Ontario Soccer are pleased to announce several Female Leadership-related events and resources.

Keeping Girls in Sport Resource

A focal point of the Keeping Girls in Sport Panel on Sunday March 3 during the Ontario Soccer Summit, the Keeping Girls in Sport e-module is an online resource that teaches coaches and youth activity leaders how to create safe and respectful environments for girls, and ultimately, help girls stay enrolled and engaged in sport and physical activity. It is the result of a collaboration of Jumpstart Charities, the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women in Sport (CAAWS), the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) and the Respect Group.

We encourage all coaches and youth activity leaders to complete this important e-module. The cost of the module is $17, and proceeds go to Jumpstart Charities and CAAWS. Register for this course here.

Female Leadership Day - Save the Date - April 14

Hosted in partnership with the Durham Region Soccer Association (DRSA), the Female Leadership Day on April 14 will be the second of its kind, following the success of the first event held in Brampton and hosted in partnership with Brams United Girls Soccer Club.

Programming details, including panelist and speaker information, and registration links will be shared in the coming weeks. Registration is available on a first-come-first served basis, and the event is free to attend.

Call for SAME GAME Pilot Project Organizations

In partnership with CAAWS, Ontario Soccer is seeking Pilot Project Organizations to help test the SAME GAME Model, which provides six steps to help Community Clubs embed gender equity into their organizations. The deadline to apply is March 22 and applications can be completed here.
