The 2019 Ontario Cup Entry Form is now available on the Ontario Soccer website.  The entry form and eligibility requirements can be found here

The Entry Deadline is April 2, 2019.

Please note that entries will not be accepted after the deadline.

Ontario Cup Tournament Hosts have been approved and notified. The host cities are listed in the Ontario Cup Entry Rules so teams know where they may have to play before they enter the Ontario Cup.

Ontario Cup Format

The format will be the same as 2018. The Ontario Cup Preliminary Round will be a single knock-out game format. The winning teams will advance to the Ontario Cup Tournament Round.

While it means that some teams may only play one game in the competition before being eliminated, not all teams will be required to play in the preliminary round. There is the possibility that a team could advance to or be drawn to the tournament round and be guaranteed three games.

Tournament groups are made up of four (4) teams. If the number of teams is not a multiple of four, then a preliminary round game or games will need to be played. It will be a single knock-out format. Also, if there are more than 32 teams regardless of it being a multiple of four, then preliminary round games will be played to get down to 32 teams.

For example if 33 teams enter a division, then there will be one preliminary knock-out game played to get the number to 32 which is eight groups of four. In this case, 31 teams would get a bye to the Tournament Round.

The 2019 Ontario Cup is in its 104th year and is the oldest soccer tournament in Canada. The Ontario Cup, under Long Term Player Development (LTPD) is classified under the “Soccer for Life” stream and available to all Ontario Soccer Clubs that meet the eligibility criteria.
