The Ontario Soccer Summit, presented by Respect in Sport, hit new heights in 2019.

On the final day of the 2019 Ontario Soccer Summit, Ontario Soccer announced the date, location of the host city and district for the 2020 Ontario Soccer Summit and its headline, keynote speaker.

The City of Hamilton will be the location of the 2020 Ontario Soccer Summit, held Feb. 21-23, 2020 at Redeemer College.

And the first keynote speaker of Ontario Soccer Summit 2020 will be Victor Montagliani, FIFA Vice-President and CONCACAF President.

“2019 in London was a milestone event by selling out in advance. Now we turn to Hamilton for 2020 and look forward to planning another successful event working closely with the Hamilton and District Soccer Association,” said Johnny Misley, Chief Executive Officer of Ontario Soccer. “What better way to start the excitement by announcing Victor Montagliani as our headline speaker. We are honoured to have someone of Victor’s stature and presence in the world game joining us for Ontario Soccer Summit 2020.”

In addition to recording its fastest ever sell-out in 2019, over 500 delegates from across Ontario and Canada attended this year’s Ontario Soccer Summit, in London, ON, for their personal and professional growth in soccer.

Headlining this year’s event were three keynote speakers in John Herdman (Canadian Men’s National team Head Coach), legendary match official Howard Webb (General Manager of the Professional Referee Organization) and Nancy Spotton (CEO and Co-Founder of MPWR) who is powering the next generation of trailblazers in sport.

There were over 30 additional speakers in attendance on the weekend.

“Every year we challenge ourselves to make this weekend bigger and better than the year before,” said Bjorn Osieck, Director of Business Operation of Ontario Soccer. “There were so many highlights in 2019 and we will look to reach and go past this year’s Summit once again in 2020.”

Ontario Soccer will be releasing select video sessions from the 2019 Ontario Soccer Summit in the weeks ahead.
