The Futsal Referee Course is for anyone over 14 who wants to join the fast-paced sport of Futsal!

Futsal Referees play an integral in ensuring all participants enjoy their experience, creating a competitive, safe, and enjoyable playing environment.

Once you have qualified as a Futsal referee, there is support available to help you be the best you can be and fulfill your potential.

How old do I need to be? 

You need to be 14+ as of April 1st in the current year. 

Will refereeing Futsal impact my 11 v 11 football? 

No. Becoming a Futsal Referee will help your football refereeing as you make more decisions per game, making your decision-making sharper. The Futsal season runs opposite the traditional outdoor season, so it is manageable to referee both forms of the game.

Do I need to know much about Futsal before the course?

No. Part of the pre-course learning is around understanding the basics, so if you have no or limited knowledge you will be brought up to speed quickly.

Will I need to buy any special equipment? 

No. The equipment is the same as an outdoor referee. All you need is a whistle, cards, a notebook, and an open mind.
