Andy Martino - Ontario Soccer Summit presenter

andy martino 250The Ontario Soccer Association has Andy Martino will be joining the Ontario Soccer Summit 2017.

Andy Martino, who is part of the prestigious Southampton FC development system, will be joining the March 3-5 event in Oshawa and will be bringing a depth of knowledge to Ontario. 

Southampton FC are an English Premier League club with a long reputation for developing talent. A cornerstone of their development strategy is their Academy. Lauded in football circles as an exemplary, players who have benefitted from the Academy and gone on to represent their countries include Gareth Bale, Theo Walcott, Luke Shaw and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Martino is the Football Development Manager at Southampton.

“We’re very happy to be able to attract such quality presenters in the likes of Andy to the Ontario Soccer Summit,” said Bobby Lennox, Manager of Coaching Development. “Southhampton is renowned worldwide for the quality of their development system and to have not just one but two of their bright minds joining us, our attendees will be in for a treat.”

The host venue for the Ontario Soccer Summit 2017 is the Oshawa Civic Recreation Complex and Trent University and the event runs March 3-5, 2017.

The Oshawa Civic Centre boasts an international FIFA size 100 metre x 70 metre artificial turf playing field that can be configured into two or four fields for on-field learning.

Trent University, which is steps from the Oshawa Civic Centre, will offer an intimate setting, which is optimal for the immersive Soccer Summit learning experience.

Tickets are now on sale for the Ontario Soccer Summit and can be purchased here.

There are reduced rates for those booking groups of 5-20 attendees and even greater discounts for those booking 20 or more.

Also, the 2017 event will feature reduced pricing for youth (under 18 years of age) attendees. In addition, Female Mentorship Program participants, Learning Facilitators and District Administrators all receive special pricing.
