The U-14 Girls Ontario Indoor Cup final featured Ajax FC taking on Mississauga Dixie Athletics on Sunday.

The first 10 minutes was largely a defensive affair as the two sides were testing one another out and neither really wanted to commit too many players forward in the early going.  

As the half progressed however both teams opened up their play considerably.

Mississauga Dixie’s goalie Elisa Paolucci and Ajax FC keeper Simone Tjin were called on to make several big saves to keep the game knotted at 0-0 heading into the break. 

After the restart, Ajax’s Emma DaSiva’s free kick deflected off Paolucci and found the back of the net to make it 1-0.  

DaSiva would double their lead a few minutes later when she converted a penalty opportunity to make it 2-0.

Mississauga Dixie would pull one back with a penalty kick goal when Elise Evans converted her chance.

That would be all they would get though as Ajax FC hung on to capture the U-14 Girls Ontario Cup Final
