In 2018 there will be an implementation of a new procedure, in conjunction with the current Match Official clinic registration process.

Annually, Ontario Soccer coordinates over 220 Match Official accreditation clinics, the majority of which take place between the end of March through the end of May.

In the past, this has created an overwhelming volume of clinics on one weekend and this heavy volume stretches resources and poses a challenge to produce and maintain a high quality of education for both the instructor and the student.

To help mitigate this challenge and improve this experience, Ontario Soccer is introducing a “Clinic Pre-Registration” system. This system will open November 30, 2017.

These new steps will allow Clubs and Districts to proactively reserve a date or weekend between January and May to host clinics.

The “Clinic Pre-Registration” will also provide Ontario Soccer with the ability to evenly distribute clinics and enable the provincial body to assign two instructors per clinic and still sustain each district’s hosting average.

This model will also help reduce administrative processing time, increase student/instructor ratio and increase the quality of education delivered.
